I noticed I never did do a "range report" for my p99

.40 S&W
12 Rd LEO only magazines.
300 Rounds of Winchester White Box 165 grain
50 Rounds Remington "green box?" FMJ 180g
50 Rounds Federal American eagle is it? its the red box w/ the eagle on it. 165 grain FMJ

Like i said in a previous post, I was shooting low because of flinching, I went from p22 to p99 .40 what do you expect. I did shoot my buddys G22 glock, so I knew what to expect.

After getting over the flinching festivities, I was able to hit my little Winchester white boxes at about 25 yards no problem, a miss every once in a while. made them look like swiss cheese. lol

I have no formal range in my area so I do it the "country" way lol which works for me.

This pistol is great, I am using the medium sized grip backstrap. Fits like a glove.

out of the 400 rounds, no jams, hiccups, nothing. This pistol looks like it is going to be a nice pistol which I will be handing down to my son when I get too old to shoot it!

shoot even then I may request to be buried w/ it j/k

Anyways, this is a really nice pistol, I dont regret purchasing it. my P22 was inspiration for me to get this p99. I may just stick w/ the walther name, and get the p99 in 9mm also.

Well we'll see how it goes this summer!

I love the P99 in .40s&w that I have. It's a joy to shoot and continues to surprise me when I do take it out. My only problem with mine is that I like my 1911 more so it tends to sit in the safe more then it should. It does serve as my carry gun/house gun when I lose confidence in my 1911 for some reason or other, or if I just have the 1911 torn apart working on something. I did dust it off this past week though and chewed through some bullseyes with it. Maybe once my boys get old enough they'll shoot it like it should be shot. It also always seems like the P99 or the P22 spawn the other one. My P22 followed probably 6 months or so after my P99.

Yeah my 11 year old son HAD to try it. so, I let him shoot it. It was the last round his little hand had a problem gripping the gun but was able to do so.. pulled the one round BOOM! Pistol bucked up he mantained it, and had this smile on is face that was indescribable. LOL but he said he likes the p22 better because it fits him way better. I think I may pick up a Rugar mkIII sometime also for a second 22 plinker as he overs on my p22 all the time lol.
