I've bought quite a few new pistols lately, took some time yesterday just to see how they shoot. Main goal was just try them out and see where they were shooting. Didn't bring a lot of ammo, just enough to probably kill an hour. Hit up a new range that's not very large but have a very nice modern setup. Stalls are all touchscreen, lights you can set to your taste and you can program the target to turn away then present itself to you. Didn't really play around with it, max distance was 66 ft. The range wasn't really busy which was surprising for a Sunday and it's only 6 lanes.

Well I brought my conceal carry to break in, a Sig P365, Beretta PX4 Subcompact .40, Beretta Neos .22lr, Sig M11-A1, Taurus Tx22. I bought a box of Speer Gold Dot 115gr HP +p+, I didn't realize they were +p+ til after I was into the box.

Well i ran a few mags of FMJ thru the P365 before going to the +p+, clerk didn't say they were +p+, I just asked for best bang for the buck self defense ammo to try. Could definitely feel the difference in the loads. But the gun ran perfect for the 80 rds I ran thru it.

I only loaded up the 2 mags plus brought the rest from a 50rd box of 165gr speer lawman and shot it the thru PX4 .40sw subcompact. Wasn't enjoyable personally, so I don't plan to shoot it much.

The Sig M11-A1 was a fun shoot. Only shot some 115gr Herter FMJ thru it. Shot very accurate and easy to handle, trigger was a treat. Tried a few shots in DA and the rest in SA. Need to get a holster and try it as a carry while hiking.

The Beretta Neos was kinda fun. Only ran about 6 mags thru it. I think the sights were way off, could barely tell if I was hitting the target or where it was hitting if I was. But the pretty much the entire lack of any recoil made it fun. I have other compact .22lr autoload pistols and even they have a little kick back that Neos was darn near 0. May just get an optic for it and setup for an accurate plinker.

The Taurus TX22 was the most shot of the day. Probably ran 200-250 rds of some CCI MMs and a little Remington Match. It ran flawlessly, no issues and was pretty accurate right out of the box even out to 20 yards with my unsteady hands. Great trigger and awesome ergonomics, probably enjoy it more than my M&P 22C

Sounds like a good day at the range.
I thought about buying a Beretta Neos. They do look like fun.

What was the deal with the PX4? Have wanted one someday.
Just too snappy for my taste. Its manageable but not enjoyable to me to put a lot of rounds thru It in a session. I have a full size PX4 in 9mm, just bought the .40 subcompact to go along with my Beretta collection.

Im also no seasoned shooter

You definitely had a great time at the range with all those guns! I have to get out more often!
