Rarest gun you own?

There's nothing exceedingly rare about it, but the original stock has been hand shaped and refinished to fit me by a good friend. There isn't another out there with this stock shape (and original matching numbers) and finish.

French MAB P-15 would be the rarest probably.....Although I'm selling it because parts for it are nearly impossible to find and if something broke on this gun it would end up being an expensive paperweight.

Still a neat gun and a fantastic shooter, I know I'll miss it once it's gone:(

Somewhat rare IMI Uzi Model 45 in .45 ACP.....
I picked up this gun last year LNIB with the IMI 9mm conversion kit for $1k cash. To date it's still the best gun deal I've ever made!

As far as I know this gun is two of a kind...unfortunately I don't own both

this one is possibly 1 of a kind....or at least being hand made it is as close as it can get.

both are single shot .22 rimfires

Your MAB P-15 brought back memories of one that I had over 30 years ago. I traded a Browning Hi-Power for it, straight up (trust me, it you ever tried shooting this particular Hi-Power, you would know why I was trading it). The MAB was fantastic; you could use any sort of 9mm. ammo, from light target loads to some very hot handloads, and it never missed a beat. It was also probably the most accurate 9mm. I have ever owned, although I now have a Hi-Power Mk. III that is capable of putting up some very nice groups. Only downside to the P-15 was that, as you found out, spare parts and quality magazines were no where to be found. I think I finally ended up trading it in for a S&W 9mm. auto.

Nothing ultra rare (like the 2" target sighted Victory model of which there is one) but I have a couple uncommon models.

One of 50 (Inscribed #27):

I am told that about 90 Heavy Duty 38/44s were made before WW II with 4" barrels:

I have heard that nickel pre-27s are rare:

I figure there can't be too many of these around:

Here are a few that I have:
1842 US Navy made by Deringer. One of 200 made with rifled barrel. How many of those still exist?
Deringer pistol, probably made sometime around 1840.

What's a take-up trigger?
It looks kind of like a set trigger, except closer to the real trigger. It doesn't do anything but press up against the real trigger. It appears to be factory.

I was told by a local Winchester collector that he had heard of a "take up trigger" option on Winchesters, but he had never seen one.

I need to do a search and see if anything comes up. I've had this rifle for 30 years and hadn't thought about it much recently.

I've got one of the last run of Webley revolvers. It's blued with a wooden presentation case. IIRC it's one of 250.

Hmmm, an old French shotgun that I am told was a "guild" gun.

I don't think the old Remington model 51 is real rare but certainly not common.

Damn, all of my guns are pedestrian.

Thanks guys...I am so inadequate.

I should sell the Python, the Diamondback, the 686, the Kahr, the Rock River, the Remington 700, the 870 the...

Nothing really rare, but two that I'm very fond of (without pic's):

1) a High Standard .22 LR caliber, called "The Victor"; with the word
"military" rolled marked on the right side, just before the S/N.

2) Smith & Wesson model 39-2 9mm auto, UNFIRED and in orginal box
with all paperwork, wrapping paper, blank warranty card, extra magazine,
and tools. It has a wonderful "deep blue" finish [much like a S&W model
27]; and a beautiful set of walnut panel S&W grips.

Not mine, but how 'bout a Winchester 1894 saddle ring carbine in .25-35;
with true American Indian designs on the stock (moon, stars, etc in
alignment); and designs on the forearm. Tribe unknown, but a real
"classic"; asking price $995~! Contact me, if interested.

Does a Yugo M59 SKS with Serbian trench art and checkpoint marks count? It's unique at least.

Most collectable I guess would be a first-year ('52) Remington 760 30'06, which isn't particularly collectable...

I have an ERMA 22 Carbine. Someone told me it was rare but I have no idea, is it?

Not exactly my favorite gun anyway.

I don't really own rare guns. Everything I have was bought to shoot, and not really treasure.

Ruger 10/22
Ruger LCP
Mossberg 500
Glock 19
Various manufacturer AR-15
Baikal/Remington 12 ga coach-gun.

It's unique at least.

That's what I was wondering. The odd thing is, a "limited run" of 10 or 100 firearms seems to attract FAR more attention than a genuinely one-of-a-kind item. There's some interesting psychology at work here.

Erma 22 carbine is not very rare, but it is actually one of my favorites.

That's pretty easy. My Fienwerkbau left hand C60 Running Target with Premier RT scope. I'd be surprised if there are more than a couple in the USA. Here's a video of the standard C60 (Not mine but I have one of those also): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6jEp6DdHrg

This is proof that rare doesn't mean valuable.....

Thanx, Russ

Rarest? High Standard model GB (only 5000 made). Next rarest is my Un-Quality carbine (25000 made). Not rare, but most valuable is my dad's WW2 45.

:D

A Charlin shotgun, French sliding breech with a locking & bearing mechanism different from the Darne or a Swedish M38, a arsenal converted M 96, but a 1900 Mauser Orbendorf with a two digit serial number.

The two rarest I have ever own was a Smith & Wesson Model 5967 which there were only 500 made, and a pair of consective numbered Browning High Powers MkII, which stupid me I sold them out of bordom. Now I would say my Fox Sterlingworth in 20ga. is and one day, hopefully in the far distant future a Winchester Model 37 "Red Letter" in 28ga.
