I’ve been working on a semi precision longer range hunting rifle. I am haven’t trouble finding a hard case that it will fit in. I found a very cheap one it barely fit in, but since I upgraded the scope and stock, it’s now a no-go. It currently measures 48.5” butt-muzzle. Wondering about the pelican cases. But I’m wondering if I need to get a double case and go angled. Can, ammo storage etc might be arranged. Like it to be a “flyable” case… curious if anyone has any suggestions

I have a Pedersoli 1885... with a 32" barrel, so the overall length is quite long. It fits into a standard hardcase I picked up at Harbor Freight; it's a duplicate of the Cabelas case I bought for my Savage 10, but I like my Cabelas case better... I think it's more secure if I was going to fly with it. The Cabelas case is a copy of the Pelican... (isn't everything?) As far as OAL, I would just go on to the online vendors... Midway, Natchez, etc... and start window shopping.

It will fit in some of em lengthwise, but then it hits the scope or scope turrets. Orbits so tight you have to jump on the case(not really but you get the point :rofl:) to close it.
