RCBS decapping assembly

Yesterday while reloading 380acp on my Dillon 550 I not only broke the decapping pin but bent the assembly as well. I was able to continue reloading by stealing the assembly from a .357 die.

Usually I'd buy a replacement from Midway but of course they are out of stock.

Any recommendations on who might have these in stock?
 
I'd check with RCBS customer service first. Tell them what happened and I'm sure they will send you a new assembly plus pins. I just had this happen to me about 2 weeks ago and had received the parts in the mail free of charge within a weeks time. It was the first time I've dealt with their customer service and after that experience you can bet I'll be buying more RCBS products in the future. How did you end up breaking a pin on the .380 die, of all calibers?
 
I was going to order a couple of extra mandrels for a 308 X-die from Miday last week. It was in stock for $11 but it was going to be $6 shipping plus another $5 charge because my order was less than $25. I know I could have just ordered something for $3 to make my order more than $25 but I canceled the order on principle. Lol.
 
I bent the one in my rcbs 223 die on an odd ball military brass it looked like the hole was off center. I emailed rcbs after waiting on hold 20min. Anyway they said they was sending me another one free (I was trying to buy them) but that was 3 weeks ago and I still haven't got them
 
just be patient. they're swamped. i sent off a RCBS .44 mag sizing die that the carbide ring pulled out of and it took a few weeks to get it back, but they sent me a brand new one at no charge.
 
RCBS will take care of you, likely for free. And when get the new decapping pin(s) and assembly, for goodness sake back it off! Sounds like you had it set way too low!
 
So I did call RCBS and sure enough they sent me a new assembly and 5 pins, free!

And yes I reset the Dillon 550. My biggest issue was I didn't have the shell plate adjusted correctly and the case wobbled as I raised it.
 
Yeah I have to do a periodic check on the bolt that holds the shell plate in. I tighten mine down all the way and then back it off just enough to be able to turn the shell plate easily. It will work it's way loose and cause your problem. When you feel unusal resistance-STOP.

ETA: RCBS recently replaced a 30 yr old 1010 scale that I tore up through my own negligence--free of charge. Can't beat that.
