Has anyone tried out the new RCBS Powder Dispenser yet? How do you like it?

Anyone converted an older model? What parts were required?

Oh . . this is for my RCBS Pro2000 by the way.

Thanks,

Spencer

Nobody has tried one of these new powder measures yet? I guess it is really new . . .

I just saw it in a mail order catalog the other day. The Uniflow looks just like the Hornady measure, so I was wondering when they were going to make the parts available for RCBS since they seem to share a lot of products with each other and just reackage them. So in my not so professional opinion, anything said of the LNL measure is probably the same for the Uniflow.

I'm interested to find out if it will take a micrometer. I can't see what advantages the inserts have over a micrometer adjustment.

what parts are required

I was wondering the same thing, so I wrote RCBS and asked. Got this back today:

Yes it can - you would need the quick change metering cylinder part #
98845 and then the large metering screw assy 98844 or small metering
screw assy 98843 or you could order both assemblies if you are loading
rifle and pistol. These parts can be ordered direct or at Midway,
Cabelas, MidSouth, Natchez, etc. If you want to also add the qick
drain attachment -it is part # 98846 and you can also add the drop tube
adaptor and athen add the drop tubes that are caliber specific it you
desire. I will send a catalog with all the parts shown. Have a great
day.

I may yet do this.

I received my 2006 RCBS catalogue back in April.
I saw the "improved" powder measure and also noticed how similar it appeared to be to the Hornady version. :scrutiny:
I suspect that most if not all of the components for each one originate from under the same roof.

So do I need the drop tube for the Pro2000? Or can I use what I already have for my existing Uniflow?

Thanks

Spencer
