Sorry if this has been covered, but just a quick question.

I am getting an Aimpont Micro T-1 for my 5.56. This rifle's 2 primary uses are for HD (farthest distance in home probably 10-15 yds), and range shooting out to a max of 100yds. I may also take a carbine class in the near future. At what distance should I zero the RDS? Does it even matter at these distances? I am not really into "precision shooting", I just want it to get the job done if you know what I mean. Thanks -John

Yup. What he said. BTW, shoot your rifle at close range - out to 20 yards or so, you'll have to aim a couple of inches over your desired point of impact due to "offset" from the sight height over bore axis inherent with an AR style rifle. :)
