Hello ...
I have a vintage S&W Model 29-3. Here is the problem: for some reason, I have run out of adjustment on the rear sight, such that there is no room left to screw the sight down any further. The front of the ramp is cocked at a funny angle, and it just looks weird. I am shooting 240 gr. reloads, loaded a step or two under max. Still, I have to aim about a foot low to get the shots on target.
What should I do? Do I need a new rear sight blade? Can the gunsmith do anything? I would like to have this fixed so that the pistol shoots to point of aim. Any advice would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary
