I am thinking that in addition to cast and the hornady 170 grain interlocks, I would like to try some bonded or other really tough 147 grain 9mm bullets in 350 Legend this spring. Who makes suitable bullets?

Like an FMJ? They are the “toughest” 9mm bullets I have used.

Sorry, thinking specifically about jhp. I see a boutique loading with Hornady 147 xtps being sold, but I wonder if the bullet would come apart at those speeds.

I wouldn't bet on any 147gr JHP bonded or not being able to hold up to at least 800fps faster than they were designed to perform at. For plinking and varmints they'd probably be fine, but for serious hunting work (deer hog) stick with bullets designed for specifically for the 350 L

CONTROLLED EXPANSION
Precise serrations divide the XTP® into symmetrical sections, strategically weakening the jacket and initiating controlled expansion even at low velocities.

Designed to work great at low velocity isn’t going to mean they work that well at very high ones…

I think you are probably right. Oh well.

https://www.forsterproducts.com/product/hollow-pointer-kits/ I would think this plus a 147 hard cast might be your friend. Either that or tooling to size down some .358" bullets.

Just FYI...I've loaded 124 grain XTPs at max velocity through a .357 mag rifle and the effects are spectacularly violent, comparable to 7.62x39 soft point impacts. Accuracy held up well with a heavy crimp. The opposite of what you're looking for, but thought you might find it a fun experiment.
