I've been (semi)looking for a GP100 with a 6" barrel and short shroud and stumbled across a stainless one today for $395 on consignment at a local store. It seems to good condition with only a bit of wear showing that the cylinder has rotated a time or three. The price is not much less than new but I understand the model has been discontinued. Comments?

Kind of high for my area.

I've seen used 4" and 6" at local pawn shops in very good condition for $275-325.

I just picked up a 6" S&W 686-5 for $340, and the S&W's seem to be $100 more than the GP100's.

But, it really depends on you local market prices.

If you want it, does the price really matter?:D

Prices are relative to want, need and availability. If you can't find one and then it shows up, how much is it worth to you to own it?

I had a man offer me $750.00 for my Model 25 45LC today because he can't find one. That's roughly $125.00 more than I paid for it.

Go here. Ruger makes a 4-6 inch SS GP. The 6" has a SRP of $580 new. $300 is a good price and you really can't break them. Jump on it.

Bluebook: Stainless GP-100, $455(100%), $345(98%), and $280(95%). Add $5.00 for adjustable rear sight.

GP

I picked up a as new in box 3 inch GP for 250. 395 seems steep but 300 would seem good. Thats California pricing
