Reciprocal Carry - South Carolina?

I have a trip to S. Carolina soon. I hold a WI CC permit. I have researched the laws of various states along my route from Wisconsin. I have seen seemingly conflicting information regarding reciprocity with S. Carolina. One source stated that Gov Nikki Haley signed a law in 2016 granting reciprocal rights to permit holders from states that honor a S. Carolina permit. I believe Wisconsin does honor S. Carolina permits.

Can anyone clarify this matter?

My favorite resource is the website handgunlaw.us which is curated by THR's own Gary Slider.

The page for South Carolina does not show that they accept Wisconsin carry permits.

Also the highly restricted state of Illinois, of course.

I’ll be heading there in May for a Veterans golf tournament and will be carrying as usual. Good thing for me, they recognize my Ohio permit.

SC is not friendly to Wisconsinites. You can have a firearm in your car to protect yourself and your hotel room.

Former resident of SC had there CWP. Once I moved back to WI that license was no longer valid.
