I`ve got a beautiful Henry 44 mag . I also have a hell of a case of arthritis! Does anyone make a halfway decent looking recoil pad for the rifle? The brass pad on there now is brutal, even with 44 special loads. Any ideas?

Limbsaver slip on? Maybe the grind to fit model? Limbsaver or Pachmayer might make one for it if you check their website.

Nice gun by the way! Beautiful fit and finish. I just wish they would make the pistol caliber guns with a lighter weight barrel. And a loading gate would be nice, but not as much as the lighter barrel.

Nearly any recoil pad should tame that down to a comfortable level. I like the aforementioned LimbSaver by SVL, Kick-Eez and of course the Pachmayr Decelerator but any non-solid pad should do.

Pachmayr makes a grind-to-fit decelerator pad that is only about 1/2" thick, but works well.

On my RUger m77 I decided to go with a slip on recoil pad, Akton Kick-Killer. While there are better recoil pads out there, this one was a great fit for my rifle and wallet, the velcro strap keeps it in place very well, and the leather is much higher quality than what I thought it would be. The color of the leather almost matches the stock, so it looks like a complete package. Best of all, it only increased the length of pull by a 1/4 inch - if that. Either way, it sholders perfect.

I'd recommend it to anyone.
