recommend a DA .22lr revolver

Colt Troopers and Diamondbacks
Dan Wessons
S&K J and K frames
French Manhurins and Belgian FN Barracuda revolvers

Right now there seems to be a dearth of really good .22 firearms on the market

If you can find a Dan Wesson .22lr Pistol Pac, jump on it without hesitation. the DW .22lr revolvers are without a doubt the most accurate on the market with the possible exception of the Freedom Arms SA

I would get a Colt Diamondback .....of course used .....I would not get a taurus.

mine, bought NIB back-when, is the one and only 22 DA revolver I regard as highly as I do my two S&W k17s (and k-48)

If you are looking for something similar to the SP 101 then I would think about a J Framed S&W like the M 63.
