Recommendations on a neck knife?

I have had this Instigator by Benchmade for several years though I can't, for the life of me, figure out why. I too just "wanted" one and bought this.

I never wear it as it is hard to get to when worn around the neck. Wear it on your belt or pack is okay but there is IMHO much better choices.

However, you asked for a neck knife and here is one for sure:evil:

You can give the Rat Izula a look, I prefer it to my Becker Necker. It seems to fit my hand better, and is standing up to the light use that I subject it to.

"Would want it as 'JIC' weapon. I work in a large office and i dont like the attention that my My Tighe or Kershaw Blur garner when in meetings or with customers but i'm not going without a blade and a tiny folding pocket knife wont cut it"

I'm also curious, why do you need a knife in a office? Or is it not tucked away in your pocket? It's not exactly the field/hunting/or the streets?

why not ? Things don't need cut in an office ?

I work in an office environment and mine get quite a bit of use daily , especially since nobody else seems to carry anything , and those that do carry something that couldn't cut butter.

After watching a female co-worker open boxes and packages with a pair of scissors time and time again , and each knife get closer to injuring herself , I gave her a Kershaw Vapor II . At first she was taken back by it , now she loves it.

While the concept of carrying a knife pointing at my neck keeps me from carrying one in that fashion, I do own and recommend Cold Steel Spikes in the original and Scimitar patterns. Since they are primarily defensive blades, the edgeholding of their 420 steel is not as much of an issue as would be otherwise.

Two that are a bit more obscure that I like; the hang tight by al polkowski (a bit on the big and pricey side; works well as an IWB rip cord) and the woo (original recipe, on the small and cheap) by Newt Livesay. That woo is hard to pass up for the cash.

I picked up a Folts Minimalist for a very special friend. Another female friend picked it up, and began talking about how great it would be for self-defense against mugging.

I just bought a Myerco Blackie Collins Necklance River Rescue for under $6 shipped off ebay, I got the serrated one with a safety tip, kind of similar to a dive knife.
