Anyone have any experience with weapons handling/training courses near Round Rock for someone with limited skills?
I want to get a gift certificate for my sister to some sort of class. I live on the other side of the country. I have taken her shooting, but her enthusiasm is probably not great if I am not there to go shooting with her every other weekend.
I am thinking that I want to start her off with a shotgun for home defense to get her used to being around guns. The CHL class would deal more with pistols, but hopefully I could move her toward that idea further on down the road. It would ideally also reinforce basic weapon handling skills.
So, I am looking at some of these places on the internet, but it is hard to gauge their profesionalism and classroom method from afar:
http://www.asgardtraining.org/

Any help choosing one from someone with 1st hand knowledge of area instructors would be welcome.
