Managed to acquire (should be in-bound starting tomorrow) Ruger PC4 (non-ghostring, which is fine as I need to do both eyes open shooting these days).

I already ordered a Wiegand picatinny rail which looks superb, if a bit "thick." So, I was thinking of a LOW, non-tube red dot, like a Burris Fastfire II. But I'm not paying $65 for the "wing protectors." Best price I can get is $195 for the fastfire shipped. So, maybe I can go a little cheaper. How does this look: http://www.opticsplanet.net/truglo-...inated-multi-reticle-matte-black-tg8360b.html

I'm not getting an Aimpoint Micro, Eotech, or anything like that. $200 shipped is my tap-out price. Thanks for any and all input.

I don't believe that very much height is saved with a reflex sight, at least not compared to a 1 inch tube.
I have a PC9 with the same Weigand scope mount and a 30mm tube and I think that a person's cheek will still be well above the comb with a reflex sight.

However, I noticed that Swift Optics has a new reflex sight that has four 2 color reticles for only $89 shipped at Opticsplanet. Even though the Swift reflex sight is unrated, I would trust the Swift brand name more than Truglo. It also has a sunshade and you can be among the 1st to rate it. Swift can be called about their reflex red dot sight warranty here: 1-877-697-9438

Here's a close up view of it at SWFA and the reticles will embiggen when clicked:

Ordered a Bushnell TRS-25. Great reviews, under $100. Very small. Unfrotunately, picking up my carbine in a few hours, but will not get red dot until Monday (gee thanks OpticsPlanet with waiting 28 hours to ship). So, won't shoot this weekend.
