First yes I have Manuals so no I don't need to hear well go get a good reloading manual. I just would like to know what fellow thr members use it for thanks horsemen61

I have used a ton of it in 12ga, .38 Special, .45 ACP, 32-20 WCF, .44 Special, .380 ACP, and others over the years.

Just about anywhere you could use Bullseye, you can use it.

45 years of trap loads. To the tune of 3 or 4 thousand per year. Some years much more. I have shot a few hundred 45acp and 38 specials but prefer to keep it in the shotgun world.

I have had some pretty good luck with it in .45ACP. It is my favorite powder in .38 special. I usually just go for the promo since I don't worry to much about the smoke factor.

12 gauge, although I prefer Clays, and some reduced loads in rifles (13 gr.) for nieces, nephews, and grandkids.... And some of my more wimpy brothers.

I'll probably start using it in 9x18 with cast bullets, but I'm pretty happy with bullseye for that right now.

Usetawas I used it for 12-ga trap & skeet loads, and for .45 ACP and .38 Spl. Still useful for all those loads, but nowadays I use Hodgdon Clays for virtually identical loads with less fouling.

Always used it for 12ga. trap loads but I just picked up a copy of American hand loader and Mike Venturino has it listed as the most accurate powder for, of all things, .45 Colt. 6gr. under a 255gr. LSWC. Loaded up fifty rounds today. Keep you posted on how they do.

It's been a favorite of mine for 1-1/8 oz. 12 ga. dove and quail, and busting clays for about 35 yrs.. Mec 600 Jr. # 36 powder bushing, and you've got a screaming SG load for the above. I don't load handgun with fast burners, so can't offer any advice there.

I use five grains of Red Dot in the 30-30 underneath a Lyman 311008. Goes about 1200 fps, quiet, accurate and zero recoil.

I've also used five grains under a .381 round ball in my 38-55.

The question may be easier to answer if you asked what NOT to load it in???

I use it in a variety of cast pistol loads and 12 gauge, even some light cast rifle loads.

RedDot is one of the powders I keep on hand like Unique...!!!:)
