Yeah, I'm sure Redding would send you a copy.
Not much to those scales though.
It's just a single beam Ohaus.

Put it on your bench which should be level.
Set both poises to zero grains.
Adjust the little black knob till the beam pointer is on zero.
You're ready to go.
An inexpensive set of test weights is always nice to have.

What he said.

There ain't much else to know.

Keep the balance bearing points clean with a Q-Tip and alcohol, zero it each time before using, and gofer it.

Keep those knife edges and V-blocks clean clean, amazing how little dust it takes to throw off things.
Keep the scale covered when you ain't using it, a plastic baggie, anything to keep off the dust.
And, don't leave it sitting on a bench while you're doing any pounding or banging. :D

Check that the V-blocks are free to rock back and forth when you gently move the beam.
They gotta be free in their little holders.

Just because a scale zeros out doesn't necessarily mean that it's accurate.
Considering that this is a used scale bought off eBay...I would invest in a set of check weights.

We can easily 'test' the needed accuracy of a reloading scale with decent bullets. Put one in the pan; if it's reasonably close it's close enough to use. We don't need high absolute accuracy to reload but we MUST have high repeatability so keep your reference bullet to confirm your scale any time you wish.

I've been reloading a very long time and, unlike quirky digital scales, I've never see or even head a reliable account of a beam scale changing calibration. My 47 year old Ohaus made Lyman M-5 and 45 year old Herter's and 10 year old Lee beam scales read exactly the same today as they did when I took them home.
