I have an offer to trade my 7 1/2 stainless redhawk for a Glock 30sf w 4 mags and night sights and some kind of holster. Both in great shape with low rounds, opinions.

Value is pretty similar. So it's your preference. Were you to sell the flock would probably go quicker

I never use the ruger, I thought I would handgun hunt but the shotgun is a safer bet. I was wondering if the deal was fair $ wise.
Did you practice with the Redhawk? I often compare handgun hunting to bow hunting, especially if you're just using irons.

The conventional slug gun is far less accurate then any 44 mag revolver in the right hands. Rifled slug guns are the exception of course....

I would need slimmer grips on the Redhawk the frame doesn't really fit me well, or if I bought one with the scope mounts on the frame. I hunt in shotgun only county and have a scoped and rifled mossburg 500. I'll miss the redhawk, I've had it 13 years, but will use the glock every day-cpl-

I'd love to run across a deal like this. I'd trade my G30 and ALOT of extras in a skint minute for a decent Redhawk.

I would hate to give up a gun I've had for 13 years that would be so hard to replace. I also understand about it not being used by you and the Glock would be. As much as I would hate the deal I think it's a fair enough trade. The Glock 30 is a nice 45 and the extra mags and holster do have value with the trade.

Back from the deal. The other party was very happy, the gun was a good fit for him. The Glock worked perfect and fit nice. It was in like new shape. Thirty rounds of Winchester hollow points, 2 ten round mags and 2 thirteen rounders. Glaco Fletch holster. I think I made the right choice. Thanks for the input.

Kinda depends on how the Redhawk is chambered. Discontinued models are worth a lot more than a current production models.

On edit: I see you've already made the trade. Enjoy your new gun!
