Lately, I have taken to carrying my wife's M85UL. It is a 1st Gen Ultra Lite revolver. It is aluminium framed and as I have recently discovered, is a joy to carry and shoot (I have not fired this weapon in years). It had lay dormant in the glove box of her truck for quite some time and since she has become quite enamoured with her P32 and G26, she brought it out to have me sell. I inspected the gun and found that the crane was almost locked shut from lack of lubrication. I managed to get a drop of oil in the correct place, unloaded it, and cleaned and lubed it. I told her that before I could sell it, I had to "test" it. ;) Off to the range I went. I discovered that years of dormancy had not taken any toll on it's performance!! The DA trigger was still as smooth as I remembered and the SA was still a heartless hair trigger!!! The accuracy was good as ever too. :)
Needless to say, it shan't be sold!!!!:D

Hey Denfoote:

Great graphic! I can't tell you the number of times I've wanted to back away from my PC, draw, aim and fire a full clip into the internal workings of same! Aaarrrrghhhh !!

I've owned two Taurus snubbies; Mod 85 ultralite and Mod 605: both wonderful handguns.

I recently bought a model 19 that has me thinking how I'm gonna justify all the revo's I suddenly need! A reliable snubby is tough to beat!

Hey denfoote, That is great. I had an 85UL and really liked it, but ended up selling it and then later got the 605. I really like it also. By the way, How are you doing with the new 1911?

denfoote, I think the SA milspec would be a great 1911 to get. I have one of the newer loaded SA's and it truly is a very nice gun.

I love revolvers. Something natural about them. My favorite is my S&W 19. Bought it used and have put about 5,000 rounds though it. Shoot it better than any other handgun I own.

Pretty smith.
Ja, I have been buying autos lately, If I hadn't bought an EXCELLENT auto as a first auto, I prolly wouldn't have kept buying them.
How do I know?
Because I have more bad autos than bad revolvers.
And I have 2 revolvers for every auto.
