Don;t worry about it. Just call customer service if you need any repair done on it.I bought a revolver and forgot to do the registration within 30 days. Is there any way I can still claim the lifetime warranty?
And if you have a Taurus and have to send it to them to be fixed good luck with them fixing it right. My one experience with them was not very good.A range buddy had trouble with a Taurus that needed a simple replacement of an easy to replace part. There apparently aren't any Taurus parts to be had on the open market, not even from Taurus. Taurus refused to send the part (true to their policy) and requested that the revolver be sent to the Mothership. It took several iterations and many months of shipping it back and forth before Taurus finally got it right. My buddy was not pleased with the experience. IMO TTv2, do whatever it takes to get that Taurus warranty registered because if something goes wrong, you'll NEED the Taurus warranty to get the firearm up and running again.
About 3/4 of the independent shops I've done business with in the last few years are still hand writing receipts on generic, carbon paper receipt logs. Date, make/model, serial number, price, and whether paid cash or card...then a generic cash register receipt with sub-total, tax, and total price.I don't recall if they required a proof of purchase, but I will just say I bought it on a date later than I actually did and see if that works. If not I'll be calling them.
I never registered any of my firearms, and I was never asked for a receipt from any manufacturer I contact. Taurus has a lifetime warranty anyway. I'd just register it, and leave it at that.I bought a revolver and forgot to do the registration within 30 days. Is there any way I can still claim the lifetime warranty?
Taurus and Springfield do the exact same thing. They're many any factory EOM parts that that they'll sell or give to customers. Even if they have the part in stock, they'll force you to **** the gun to them to install it no matter how trivial of a job it is.A range buddy had trouble with a Taurus that needed a simple replacement of an easy to replace part. Taurus and Springfield do the exact same thing. [snip] Springfield are the worst of the worst.
I have owned a XD service for 12 years and a Mod 2 since they were first released years ago, but I never changed anything from stock. It wasn't until I purchased my Hellcat and started searching for spare parts that I found out they Springfield doesn't like to sell them. I came across multiple threads, and even started my own about it on TheArmoryLife.com which is a forum affiliated with Springfield, and they confirmed it, but acted like it wasn't a big deal.I have a few Springfields, and I did not know that. I have acquired and installed not to few aftermarket parts in them, but this is good to know. These XDMs fill a niche, but I won't be acquiring any more especially now that I know this.

I needed a replacement screw for my Ruger LCR, and Ruger refused to sell it to me. They required that I shipped the gun to them so that they could screw in an external screw.
S&W refused to sell me a spare 9mm barrel for my Shield 9mm. They insisted I ship the gun back, so that they could install a barrel, and they would charge me for it.
Then you have Glock, Sig, Kahr, and Beretta who will almost basically sell you any and every part needed to assemble a new gun except for the serialized frame or chassis. I don't understand it, but Taurus and Springfield are the worst of the worst. Springfield likes to routinely and abruptly discontinue their handguns, so I wanted to buy a bunch of spare wear parts to keep my Hellcat going no matter what. Even if something breaks, I rather just take 30 minutes +/- to fix it myself instead of sending it in. This is a major reason why I don't buy Tauruses or Springfields anymore unless it's a 1911.

Best Semi-auto pistol I own ( 10mm)
I have to agree with you buckeye63 on mentioning Taurus, I have Taurus revolvers and 4 Springfield semi auto’s I needed a new captured guide rod for my XD40 which is over 20 years old I emailed SA gave them the serial number and 5 days later I had a new guide rod. Also I bought a Taurus Raging Bull when they first came out in 44 magnum shot that thing to its death, suddenly it would not cock in single action called them and they sent me a shipping label, shipped it back to them about 3 days later I got a email from them to call customer service. Called them the guy tells me it cannot be fixed so I ask him now what he asks me if this LGS is close to me i tell him it is he proceeds to tell me they will be sending a new exact replacement gun to them a few days later I get a call from my LGS that they have my new gun. I can’t say enough good about Taurus or Springfield they have taken care of me but I do register all my guns whether it matters I am not sure.I get a kick how if u mention a Taurus you hear so many complaints from people
I honestly have owned more Taurus handguns than Rugers and S&W .. and had zero problems with Taurus and had problems with Ruger & S&W
QC for S&W , Ruger absolutely sucks (revolvers that is)
I honestly wouldn’t purchase a new S&W Revolver online… no way
Only Ruger revolver I would buy online would be a LCR

I've had the exact same experience. I bought a Raging Bull used. I had one before and loved it but sold it when I was hard up for money. I had been looking for one for a while when I found it. The guy selling it seemed like a decent guy. Brought it home, loaded it, and click....try again, click....then I noticed it had a rattle. Took it apart and found the transfer bar was broken in half. Contacted Taurus to see about getting the part. No go. Looked all over the internet, no luck. Finally had to send it back to Taurus. It took nearly a year before I got the gun back, and that was after contacting them weekly asking for updates. I could've replaced the transfer bar in minutes. I now fear shooting the gun because of the risk of breaking that transfer bar again and having to send it out for another year.A range buddy had trouble with a Taurus that needed a simple replacement of an easy to replace part.
