Greeting's All-

In light of a different kind'a twist, what one handgun have you
previously owned and subsequently gotten rid of that you would give
anything including a currently owned firearm too get back?

I can only think of one, and that was a factory fresh UNFIRED Smith
& Wesson nickel model 39-2 with serial number A222567. Boy, I would
love to have that one back in the same condition that it left in~!:uhoh: :D

My 1985 dated Chantilly P7M8. It was one of the first ones imported into the country for the police dept over in New Jersey and it didn't have that tacky warning label stamped into the slide. :(

A beautiful blue, 5-inch barrelled Smith and Wesson Model 27 .357 Magnum...early '70s vintage...pinned barrel and recessed chambers...target stocks...original box...appeared to have been very lightly used. Picked it up for $225 back in 1990 or 1991.

The 6" Ruger Standard .22 Auto I bought slightly used in 1959 as a kid. $25 cash
across the state line, no paperwork. Shot it for a few years and sold it to raise money for an 1882 vintage Colt SAA which I bought for $84. Still have the Colt but occasionally kick myself for letting that first pistol go.

I have since replaced it with a 4 3/4" with a marvelous trigger, so I suppose I have restored balance to the universe to some extent.

Otherwise I don't get too wrapped around the axle about guns or girls loved and lost anymore.

Dan Wesson .445 SuperMag, stainless, 3 barrels.

Loved it but hated walking,
now I think back and realize that I should have kept walking instead of buying the car.

An old original 44 Auto Mag. The slide was marked "Lee Jurarus special" in what I was told was his script, and had a polished, not matte, frame and slide and zebra wood grips from the factory. I bought it in `72 or `73 and sold it to a friend when I tired of forming brass for it. My dad cutting me off his supply of 308 cases came in there somewhere too. There was no supply of factory ammo or cases available for it at this time, and load data was almost non existant except for what was supplied with the pistol. A year or two later ammo was produced by a Mexican firm and imported. This also fit in as a minus at the time.

i did not get rid of it, but my grandfather had a model 21 winchester and a pre 17 S&W that I kept from his estate. Both were stolen and recovered by the MPLS police who then MELTED them down for a "peace" sculpture. because i had accepted insurance money for the guns i was told i had not stake in suing to recover them.

My Springfield px9109L. It was the only gun I have ever sold, but it killed me. Now I only buy.:D

Surprising how painful recalling this is.

I have two: A Colt Delta Elite and an OM Ruger Blackhawk in .41 Mag.

There! Now that I've gotten in touch with my feelings, I can go watch Ronin, Heat, and Payback back to back!

:D

A brand-new, never-fired, blued, 1989 Colt Government 1911 that I bought for about $475 from a local dealer and later traded for a 1983 Husqvarna WR-430 dirtbike.

If anything, I think it would be my 1st handgun. I purchased a new S&W 686 with a 2.5" barrel back in 92.

Why would I want it back? Cause I took alot of crap from the wife for selling it and have since been reminded of selling it by the wife ever since. :(

Star Firestar Plus 9mm. Nothing special at all as far as pistols go,but it was my first and I wish I had it back.

A S&W 629, 4" barrel and a 9MM Franken-Colt I built frame up from a Ranger aluminum frame, Colt Combat Commander Slide and MMC sights:( . The 9MM shot consistant 2" groups @ 25 yards. Both because of love for a female blissninny with kids:banghead: :banghead: :barf:  . Fortunately it did not work out:D .

Colt New Service in 45LC with period custom work and genuine stag grips I got for $150 in 1999 and stupidly traded for a S&W mod 14-2 of all things. Colt had blue wear but I'm sure it was worth easily double of the S&W I traded for.

I have never sold anything that I would give my current top shelf material for in trade.

I had an extremely early import G17, I would like to have that back and would give several of the lower shelf items for it.....

Colt Diamond back 38 special Mint would have passed for NIB . ( didnt know what I had and traded for somthing I ended up not likeing)
S&W 28 4" which I replaced with a 6" last week, but I'd still take it back.
Colt AR15 SP-1 with colt 22lr conversion kit. Which I traded to a begging family member who sold it with out asking If I wanted to buy it back:cuss: :banghead: :fire:
