I was hoping someone could help me out with starting to max
charge for Reloader 15 and .308 155 gr. SMK HPBT bullets. I can't
seem to find those numbers on the web on my manuals. Thanks
in advance!

My Sierra manual does not have a load for RL-15 for 155g. The closest thing I could find was in my Hornady book for 155g. BT-FMJ. It lists RL-15 min. of 38.3 to a max. of 47.2g.

Just use IMR 4895

Code:
[SIZE="3"]Ruger M77 26” 1:10 barrel

155 Nosler Match 42.5 grs IMR 4895 wtd lot L7926 mfgr 2000 TZZ Brass CC#34
	 	OAL 2.750"
4 July 2009  T =  86 °F

Ave Vel =	2716
Std Dev =	33
ES =	113
High =	2794
Low =	2681
N =	10	[/SIZE]

Thanks SlamFire - I had planned on trying IMR4895, R-15, and Varget with these new
155 grain bullets. My rifle seems to really like 4895 with other HPBT's so maybe that's what I'll end up going with.

This is for a 22" barrel.
26" will give you about 100fps more at all velocities.
(You can calculate proportionally for shorter tubes)

I was just checking and it looks as if the 2155 Sierra is the Palma Bullet.
Is that right? I have the 155 bullets that aren't Palmas. Would this significantly change the load data? Thanks very much for the information.

This has helped me out.....

Apparently, some of their data is more conservative than that published by powder manufacturers, but it's a starting point none the less.

BTW, I've found in my rifle, the 155s like to be pushed harder to get good accuracy. For a milder load and good accuracy, I've had good luck with the 150gr SMK. Of course, our rifles are different and yours might act differently. I had, at first, wondered by they would make two SMKs so close in weight, but apparently there are differences that go deeper than 5gr of weight.
