I recently acquired a Hi-point carbine in 10mm. This will be my 1st time reloading for this cartridge.
I bought 1k of Berry's 180 gr thick plated bullets a few years back that were on clearance. So it should be good for up to 1500 fps per Berry's site. But the loads I'm looking at shouldn't go much more that 1400 fps in a 17" barrel. As the loads from a 5" barrel for JHP are about 1200 fps at max load.

I only have 47 pieces of 10mm brass as of now. So it limits the process. The powder(s) I plan on using is either CFE-P, or Silhouette. There is more variety available, but those two seem to be in the middle of the pack.

Has anyone had good or bad experience with plated bullets in this cartridge? I'm thinking these will be limited to the 50m range.

Any cautions, other than the normal, with a blow-back system with this higher pressure round?

I load a 180gr coated over AA#9, so I have no input on the plated bullets.

But, if you'd like, PM me your particulars and I could send some 10MM brass your way...

Thank you for your gracious offer! The gun came with nearly 350 rds. of remanufactured ammo from Pistol Pete. I plan on shooting up some more of them. :)

I have considered getting a bullet mold for 180 gr .
