I am planning to start reloading 10mm for my CMMG MK10 Pistol. I have never reloaded 10mm or 40 S&W. Right now I want to get my 10mm CMMG running. 40 S&W will come later for my S&W Shorty Forty.

I plan to use Blue Dot but I would like to hear what others are using for powder and bullets. I will use a loading manual for my ladder testing after I select a powder & bullet combo.

My barrel is 8" long.

Thank You for any suggestions & advice you can offer me.

Power Pistol, Unique, Longshot are some of the other powders I’ve used with success as well.

Usually use Missouri Bullet company bullets. I like their 170 and 140 grain lswc’s.

I got tired of chasing my brass all over the range, so I mostly only shoot .40/10mm from a 610 now.

I like the RMR 180gn bullets with Longshot, Power Pistol, and AA#9

I can get over 1300 with all three in my glock 20.

Blue dot and Unique mid velocity loads are the most accurate with my 1911 10mm pistols. G20 eats anything I load for it. Careful with plated bullets, use very light crimp. I had experience with the bullets key-holing the target even at short distance. I've read polymer coated is better than plated bullets.

The LGS near me manufactures cast bullets, Rogers Better Bullets, and I am going to try their poly coated bullets for several of my firearms. 10mm will be one of them.

I've found that in my 10mm Banshee, I can only load up to about 80% loads before the brass bulges near the case head. I'm not talking about a little "glock smile" here, but full blown mushroom shaped brass.

I was disappointed that I cannot run all of my max book loads I have loaded up for my Glock 40 MOS with Alpha wolf barrel. I've worked up separate loads for the Banshee that are in the middle range of book loads so the brass doesn't bulge.

To me, the whole point of 10mm is to have true "norma" Spec performance and not water it down....then it's just overlap with 45ACP and 40S&W IMO.

Lastly, higher powered 10mm loads can safely be shot in the Banshee, without worry, even if the Brass gets severely bulged... CMMG reps told me so.
I just like to keep the brass intact to load again if I can find em (Banshee sends them far!)

Longshot, Blue Dot and Power Pistol are my 3 favorites. 180 gr HAP are my favorite bullets, dont use Plated bullets unless you want trouble. Good luck!
