Hi,
I recently purchased an 8mm 1892 French revolver, and want to load for it. Does anyone here have any experience? I have just began to load .303 and .30-06 in the past 4-5 months, but I am new to the bullet casting game and making brass. If anyone here who loads for this caliber can pass on some info, that would be great. I've heard that .32-20 brass can be trimmed down. Are there any other calibres? Do most guys cast their own bullets, or are any made by a manufacturer?

On a side note, I have heard from several people that it is safe to shoot .32S&W out of one of these? Can anyone here verify this?

Thanks,
Matt

It has been years

It has been well over a decades but I've got notes on reloading this somewhere. If you are really pressed I could go find them.

I'm pretty sure that brass has been made by Fiochii. They use to have a speciality division. Be sure that you specify that you are interested in the revolver cartridge or you'll get the rifle brass for sure.

Buffalo Arms has the revolver brass and dies in stock. Didn't look to see if they have bullets.

Accurate Arms could recommend a powder charge. Contacting them is a bit hard as someone hacked their web site. Probably would be best to give them a call.

Interesting little gun as I recall. No big deal to reload for it.
