Anyone reloading for the S&W MP series pistols - specifically 9mm? How's it working for you? Can you shoot lead out of these, or need to stick with jacketed/plated stuff?

How about powders - what seems to work well in 9mm? I've got in the cabinet Titegroup, AA#5, and Bullseye for my .38 and .357 loads.

Thanks,

i reload for a 40 m&p. no problems or issues. it has actually been one of the more pleasant auto loaders i have to load for.

The M&P's have standard land and groove rifling, so Yes, you can use lead. I've shot jacketed, plated, and hard-cast lead thorugh my 40 and haven't had a problem yet. Bullseye works great. AA#2 is okay for lead loads, #5 should be too.

What they said. I've used many brands of cast lead and plated and jacketed bullets with equal success.

The only caveat is that my 40S&W M&Ps occasionally do not like to feed truncated cone plated bullets if the metaplat is too wide or the shoulder is too angular. I stick with soft lead and/or bullets with a slight radius to the sholder, and all is well.
