Reloading Milsurp 30-06 for Garand

Has anyone had any problems getting the primers out of the Lake City 30-06 stuff ?

Nope. Try using a Universal Decapping Die if you are having problems with your FL die.

I'm using a Lee Fl sizer, and haven't had any problems with Lee stuff in the past.

I'll have problems off and on. Finally just started using a universal decapper.

I just use the decapper in the sizing die, and if one is a little tough and backs out the pin a little, I just tap it with a plastic hammer, then use an RCBS primer uniforming tool to take the crimp out. Never broke a decapper pin or had a loose pocket yet out of a few thousand cases I resized.

Sometimes the collet on Lee dies has to be cranked very tightly.

Never had problems decapping LC brass with RCBS FL dies. I do have to swage the pockets in order to prime them, though.

Use a universal decapper. AFTERWARD YOU HAVE GOT TO REMOVE THE CRIMP or you will have all sorts of aggravation trying to seat primers.

No. I use the Dillon Superswager tool to "fix" the crimped primer pockets on nonmatch LC brass or Greek brass.

So I'll try a decapping die to get them out. But now dealing with the crimp..

I have a Lee single stage press, will this RCBS setup work on my Lee press ?

You should be fine, I use the Lee Universal decapping die as well. I would recommend you get a couple of extra pins, for just in case. I have broke a couple over the years, and nothing pisses me off more that to have to stop and wait a week for a $.99 replacement part. So I tend to keep a couple just so I can keep going while I wait for a replacement.

I think I have broke 2 pins and I have done 5K+ milsurp .223 and 30.06, and countless others. It is a good item

I have used the HXP greek brass from CMP for reloading with great results

You won't need a shell holder for the RCBS Primer Pocket Swager. It should come with everything you'll need.
