I'm curious about how many people use software as an aid in reloading and to what extent. I looked about a bit and have tried a package called Reload Inventory Clerk. Not particularly impressed with it. But that may be just a bias I have as a professional software developer. If you do use it or would be inclided to, what features would be important. Here are some things I think would be nice:
1) Simple: Anything that needs a lot of study to use effectively is not worth the trouble.
2) Recordkeeping: Keeping a record of past loads and relevant data.
3) Ability to print data cards for loads.
4) Lookup data: Ability to plug in variables such as bullet type and weight, powder, etc. for a given cartrige to give a range of possibilies based on manufacterer data.
5) Portability: It would be nice to be able to synch data with a handheld device like a Palm Pilot (OK I'm a geek, I'll admit it).
Any ideas, additions, subtractions? Are there packages out there that do meet my needs or do I need to go my own way?
