I must be a loose, unsafe reloader! I look at a few books...look at suggestions for accurate loads via internet...load a 100 that seem popular...try em' out! I put little labels off of a thermal label machine and print the following...
124g Hdy FMJ 4.0g ViHt N320 1,135 OCL CSP
200g LSWC 4.3g Bullseye 1.250 CCLP
I stick em' on the box...shoot em'...and if I like em' I'll keep that box and reload that load. f they suck...I rip the label off and stick it on a cardboard poster board pinned to the wall over work bench...under... "BAD LOAD"
I use asst. brass..checking for split cases..and reload them continuously until a case cracks or looks funky. I'm a range junkie looking for a score of loose brass! I feel like I hit the lottery when someone shoots a ton and says that I can have it! I do NOT sort brass on a handgun.
I'm NOT anal or excited about keeping accurate records on how many times I use a piece of brass...velocity...or recoil. If it's accurate on paper..it's a keeper.
I will say...I don't stretch the load out to maximum. I'm a bit queasy about that. I stay in the middle and go from there. Rarely do I push the limits.
I am a clean freak though and have a well organized reloading bench!!
I feel guilty cuz' I don't! You all are making me feel inferior.
