rem 700 vls vs ruger m77 mk 2 target

i am looking to buy new in 308.with 26 inch barrel.would like to here how good or bad these rifles do at the range.

I have owned three VSs and a friend owened a simular Sendero. All have been capable of shooting sub-inch groups using at least some factory loads. These are usually Federal Premium BTs. They were also capable of half-inch groups with reloads. I can't comment on the Ruger. I will certainly reccomend the Remington. capt david

Remington for sure

I don't just reccoment remington because I own one but It truly is an accurate rifle. I 've just picked up a Model 700 police rifle and I m having a lot a fun at the range. Yesterday I spent 6 hours at the range mostly listening to my range buddies complements on it!

Just buy one you will be more than happy!

I am averaging about 3/4 moa with my Savage 10FP. I shot with a guy who had a 700 police, and I think that rifle was a little more accurate. My rifle is capable of 1/2 moa, when Im really on my game, but that 700 police was averaging that. We both agreed that we liked my Savage's trigger better.
