Rem 740 pricecheck and questions

Spotted a Rem 740 in a local gunshop. Its in pretty good condition, Stock is 70%, bluing is about 90%. 30-06, Iron sights, I think it has one mag, $190. Basically would be a beater and truck gun, potentially a hunting rifle.
And for anyone that has one, any ammo I shouldn't feed it? Any sources for synthetic stocks?

Nevermind....all my research is showing that the 740 is a Jammomatic.
