Using a 22 conversion kit saved money?

I heard that a dealer at a show yesterday had a brick of 22 ammo priced at $115.

I have personally seen it sell for $80.

The insanity continues.

yessir -

here's a brick or equivalent, for $154 and still climbing...

I generally understood a "brick" to be 500 to 500+ rounds (having grown up in Anoka, Minnesota with half my family working at Federal Cartridge) going through many of them as a kid.
This sale is 1000 rounds isn't it?

In any case I am blown away at the cost of plinkin' ammo. What the hey anyhow? It's not like the production lines are in conflict with priority military/LE ammo.

I wish that I had a ridiculous amount of ammo just to sell it right now.

I can do other things for fun in my free time, and if I had 20,000 rounds of .22lr I'd happily sell it at the price those people are willing to pay for it. Then I could afford even more ammo when supply stabilizes again.
