Remington 1100 Manufacture Date?

Serial Number is N65xxxxV. It's a 12ga, full fixed choke 2 3/4" and there is a code on the left side of the barrel by the receiver that is either "FB" or "EB" and then the number 89. Thanks for the help.
 
Looked there first. There is a site for pre-1972 guns, but I have a feeling this is an 80's gun based on certain clues. Might be wrong, might be a 70's gun. Would still like help with the serial number. Nudie shots will follow when I get around to it. Working late tonight. It's pretty, though, that's for sure.
 
Well "somewhere" there is a site. I even did a search on TFL. I swear we had a source for this. I crashed HDD back whenever...

Remington Year of Manufacture Codes maybe found on the barrel of your Remington rifle [or shotgun] on the left side, just forward of the receiver; the first letter of the Code is the month of manufacture, followed by one or two letters which are the year of manufacture. For shotguns with removeable barrels, the code will be valid for the manufacture of the barrel; maybe for the receiver, as barrels do get switched around.

According to the "Blue Book of Gun Values", the coding continues as follows:

B - L - A - C - K - P - O - W - D – E -- R -- X
1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 11 - 12

* the years 1943 though 1953 had double letters: ie, MM = 1943

As maybe seen, the year code letters duplicate; some knowledge of when the model was introduced should resolve the actual year of manufacture.

Now that I've found it, I have to wonder if my three full-choked 30" Vent Rib barrels are really going to do me any good. One is from the same year and the other seems to be a 1974 model. YES, I DO NOW HAVE ONE 1100 and THREE 30" Vent Rib FULL CHOKE Barrels to go along with it.

At least by your asking I have a .txt file with the codes above. I got something out of your asking. I will make others files as info comes avail.
