I am trying to narrow the date of manufacture and "size" of a Remington 12 Pump .22 Rifle. The last patent date is Ap 6 12. There are no year of manufacture letter codes on the 22 inch, round barrel so I assume it was produced before 1921. SN is 741,XXX. It is only 37 1/2 inches in total length so I wonder if it could be a youth model? It is much more compact, being 4 inches shorter and with a much smaller fore stock than the Fieldmaster 121 model that I am comparing it to. Any information is greatly appreciated. Regard, Bill

Thanks folks for the information

very helpful. It looks to be a late production without the two letter date code I expected to find. Wisners has a ton of great info.

Any info on the large knob on the side of the receiver? I suspect it is a take down screw.

THR is a great website. Regards, Bill
