I just bought a Remington 141 at a gun show today and later that day I realized it had a broken part. The part which I believe is called the action bar cover is broken and I can't find part anywhere. I'd rather not take it to the gunsmith to get it fixed so what are some things I can do to fix it. IMG_20191214_220223.jpg IMG_20191214_220223.jpg IMG_20191214_220223.jpg
The first two pictures show the cracked part and the other two pictures show what happens when you work the slide. Suggesting would greatly be appreciated.

I might recall there are other models of Remington that have the same part. 41 or 121?
If you can get it off may take it to a vocational school or technical college.

You might get more ideas in the gunsmithing section. Mods might move. I would take it apart and see if you could get it tig welded. You will have to reshape the joint and reblue it if that matters but should not be too expensive if you cold blue it yourself. It will last longer than brazing will. Have you tried Numerich or Jack First gun parts for parts yet?
