Yep..I'm still trying to get the rifle to shoot...I would like to ask of you that have a 300 Ultra mag...To share with me what powder with a 180 Barnes Triple shock bullet does your gun like...Or 180 grain nosler partition..I have shot H-1000 and Ramshot Magnum...And i have bought tonite some retumbo and I found a pound of reloader 25.I'll get tommorrow...I'm getting 2 1/2 in groups at 100..alot of folks at the range say that rifle should shoot tighter than that...So I come to you guy's..

retumbo is what my rum really likes. it shoots rl-25 pretty well, too, but not as tight as retumbo, and not as fast as retumbo.

you might also consider a bullet switch, too.

H-1000, RL-25, Retumbo... I've had good luck with all of those. Like Dakota said though, if you've tried multiple powders but only one bullet and had no luck... time to change the OTHER component. :)

OK..I'm trying to put together a load for an Oryx hunt in New Mexico...I'm open to changing bullet's but I don't want to get to light a bullet...what bullet's do you guys use with Retumbo?..or Reloader 25?...I'm open to all...

Maybe this is the question I should be asking...What can one expect for a normal outa the box group?...I have also found out that these rifles have a tremendous amount of free bore space in them..So to me all one can do is simply there best...the OCL IMO is not going to increase accuracy...If your still .198 off the lands...[I had that in another thread]..I'm going to the range tommorrow and shoot all my new powders with the 180 triple shock bullets..and only 2 grains of powder difference in loads...I will post later what if anything changed in the rifle's accuracy...Maybe that's the best it will shoot..

180 gr. Accubonds would be where I'd start as far as bullets are concerned, from there, a 180 gr. Tipped TSX, the an Interbond or Scirocco.

As for OOB accuracy, I'd say that with minimal tweaking and a good trigger adjustment the gun should shoot an inch. I may be the optimist, or maybe I've been lucky, but as it stands I only have one rifle in my safe that wont do an inch or better. I'm not happy with bigger groups than that.
