With not only my renewal to NRA, I also contributed to the gun world, recieving my first new custom rifle just this week. It's loaded, and it met my expectations beyond. Now the scope....I've always used and have several Leupolds in past on other guns, but this rifle may be the only custom I will ever be able to buy. My mind is set on Nightforce after a lot of research. I'm just at a dead end trying to decide on reticle. I've looked at MOAR, Mil Dot, NP R1, and the 1000 Velocity. I will be using at the range, but also hunting muley's, elk, possibly praire dogs, probably at long distances. What's you guys opinion?? I've sunk big $$ so far, I don't want to go cheap on optics. I want to be able to sucessfully shoot at long distances. To me, it's the pride of having the ability with a awesome weapon & accomplishment. thanks

Short of getting a Schmidt and Bender or USO, I don't think you can do better than a Nightforce. You sound like you have decided on NF, so go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Two of those are moa based and one is mil based. Figure out which system you're going to go with first. Then pick from the available reticle.
