Just thought I'd share this neat item.

Accessories (clockwise from top left):
-- Spare magazines (in .30-06)
-- Offset chamber cleaning brush
-- Sheath for Remington knife (below)
-- Remington-branded scope
-- Ammo
-- Remington folding knife
-- Sling
-- Remington-branded Zippo lighter
-- Complete Remington cleaning kit

I picked up the case separately from the rifle, and then located the other accessories piecemeal. The most unusual thing that I found was the Remington souvenir Zippo lighter (boxed).

This is only a so-so gun, in terms of actual use. But it makes a great display!

Looks like a safe queen. Has it been hunting?

That's kind of cool!

Wait, those molded green cases are worth money these days? I have one for my old 20 gauge 870 Express combo. It's obviously molded to fit the 12 gauge guns, so it doesn't hold the choke tubes securely and is a little oversize around the receiver and barrels. Now I feel the need to go drag it out and dust the thing off.

I think mine PROBABLY predated the green cases, my 700bdl and the 7400 both came in the same boxes bout 97-99. I didnt see one of those till 2005 or something....course I could be miss remembering or just WRONG lol.

Indeed. Anything gun-related, with a brand stamped on it, has become collectible. You know those cable locks, that most of us think are a nuisance? People collect them by brand. This has even reached down to mundane items such as those little empty-chamber flags that come with new guns. If it has a name on it, save it! (Right now I'm trying to find Taurus chamber flags from the 1990's, for cased sets I am putting together. Can't find them, even by scouring ebay.)
