Remington 7600 Reciever Screw/plug

I posted this in the Gunsmithing forum but it might be more appropriate here from a 7600 owner:

I acquired a Remington 7600 and the scope was removed leaving holes in the four scope mount areas. Is this receiver screw the correct one:

Forster Plug Screws 8-40 x 1/8" Blue Package of 10

If not can some one direct me to the correct screw? I called remington and they want 3 dollars a screw and 8 dollars shipping for 4 screws. Screw that! Thanks

I don't know what size screw Remington is using in them now, or I would answer you.
It's pretty sure to be 8-48 size though, but I ain't seen it, so don't go to the bank on it.
