The Pardner Pump is just a tough as nails reliable pump shotgun and is a heck of a deal.

The 870 has lost some ground in the last few years because of the QC problems it's been having with shells sticking the chamber. Remington needs to make some changes.

Do a Google search on the Wonder-Pump - Pardner Protector, Type in the following and see what you come up with.

Pardner Pump jamming One maybe two threads with a 20Ga PP having a problem.


Now type in Remington 870 jamming - problem problem problem after problem.

This thread is two years old.

Those who want to save $40 can buy the Chinese copy of an American classic, made by the communist state-run Red Army armaments industry. Those that want to pay $40 extra for the cheapened American version of an American classic can buy the 870 Express. And those that really are on the ball can buy a lightly used 870 Wingmaster for about the same money as the NIB Express and bypass this whole silly debate altogether.
