Just became the proud and privileged owner of a Remington Model 31 made in 1946 and I gave it a good cleaning after removing the barrel and the trigger assembly. The gun is perfect, except that when I operate the pump slowly to close the action there is sometimes a little stick before the elevator rises. The action works fine if I start it off fast on the close, but I was wondering if anyone has any insight into this issue.
