I have guns from both manufacturers. Most of my Remington guns are really old (12 gauge model 11, nylon 66, etc.) I have a express 870 and a wally world 700, both of early 90's vintage. All of these guns work just fine. My Rugers range from my 70's standard model or mk 1 or whatever I am supposed to call it, a 10-22 I got in the late 80's, and a couple of RAR rifles. Mrs. Fl-NC carries a LCP. They all work as advertised too. In the end, I guess a gun that does what you need it to do when you need to do it is what matters the most. Lucky for me, I don't need any more guns.
