Aware that this is not the tip top best 9mm ammo out there and have read older threads about instances of extreme set back in a few bullets. I measured all of mine to make sure, no problem rounds, but varied by .015 oal.

I bought these at Walmart this morning, because they were about 26 cents apiece, and the Bare Brass Remington sells is around 22.99 for 100. Same deal with Winchester value packs 100 for 24.49. Winchester brass is about the same per 100 as the Remington, so I buy it for the Brass! What the heck, for a few more cents I get to shoot them first!

Now the question...Is this Brass? Looks like Brass, just like the bare Remington brass I have bought previously. Looking on the internet, I saw pics of this 250 round Mega pack, and noticed a variance....Some boxes said "115 Gr. Metal Case." Crap, at first I thought they were referring to the "jacket."

Searching Remington's site, I saw a descriptor that said" Brass cases." Mine are L9MM3A.

Are these indeed Brass? Not some plated mess that cant be reloaded? Tell me I didnt buy something with other than Brass cases. If it isnt reloadable, this wasnt that good of a deal. Fairly sure this is brass...I hope! anyone want to pop my balloon on this?

Thanks I know someone here knows!

You were right the first time. MC=metal case=the bullet's jacket. The shell or cartridge case is brass. Good stuff in my opinion.

The only thing to worry about is steel and brass-plated steel. A magnet finds those very fast. Take a magnet with you to WalMart next time you shop.

Gave it the magnet test, passed! I didnt think Remington did this yet. Thanks for the magnet Idea.

Thanks! Now I can look forward to having more brass. Say one more question: Your signature is driving me nuts, what movie is that line from? "If you want to shoot..."
I know I have seen it and cant recall it...
