Looking for a new varmint rifle in Sportsmans Wharehouse, I came upon these to Remingtons; the VLS and XR-100. I have been looking for one for a while and these two seem best to fit the bill.
The XR-100 (in .22-250) is available now for $750 (+ tax) and the VLS (22-250) is available now for $650 (again + tax). I have heard the XR is more accurate than the VLS but is it worth the extra $100?
If I get one of these, they will be 99.9% used for paper hitting (possibly out to 300-400 yards) and the 0.01% will be used just incase coyotes come onto my property . Which do you think will serve me better for my purposes, the VLS or XR?
Thanks for the answers!
