Any idea if this is the real deal or a scam? The site seems to have literally EVERYTHING, including guns and ammo from Remington but when I go to the "Contact us" tab, I get a header from someplace called Woodmart.
Desperately seeking some 20 ga Accutip slugs, and they have them, but it seems to good to be true.....

It takes less time to verify a scam site than it does to post "...real deal or a scam?"
1. Remington doesn't sell firearms direct to consumer or their FFL.
2. No physical address.
3. Random capitalizations In text.
4. "We ship worldwide"
5. Payment methods are Zelle and Bitcoin.

And here’s the official word from an email response from the REAL Remington.com……

Thank you for contacting Remington Ammunition,
  • The website is not associated with us and is not licensed to sell our products, do not order from them
  • If you made a purchase report to your credit card company for fraud
  • Report to your state authority for consumer fraud
Thank you,

The opening home page is actually pretty convincing-appearing and could certainly rope in a non-skeptic. Once you poke around a bit more, you see language that appears a bit "elementary" for an accomplished firearms manufacturer (or any reputable company.)

The "Ruger version" of the scam appears to have already been shut down. I was curious. ;)

You were right to ask. Spread the word about the prevalence of these types of scams.

Might want to seek an alternative for this year than AccuTips. Remington ammo will be spotty with availability. Hunting season is around the corner though and I have seen plenty of Hornady 20 ga slugs.

THe Remmies are only one of three different slugs I'm looking for. You seeing the Hornadys on local shelves or on the interwebs (with a reputable retailer)?

Bass Pro here has had a healthy supply for the last few months. 15.99/box (5)

Fin Feather & Fur has them online for a bit more per box plus shipping.
