what stock did you use? I had one of those but never got around to doing anything besides picking up a 26" barrel for it.

I mention the stock in this video.

Review of my Churchill 612 shotgun.

thinking about getting a good YouTube channel going.

what are your honest opinions and thoughts? Any advice?

Y'know what man? I dig the contrast. That's a great choice for a two-scheme.
Thanks a lot!

Looks like it's loosely patterned after the 870, especially the trigger guard. It's nice to have those $150 options to make things affordable for people on a budget, but I'm not sure how I feel about these turkish shotguns because it wasn't really that long ago you could find 870's and 500's galore in the $150-$200 range (I know it's not the particular case right now) but I can't help but feel like these turkish clones flooding in will keep the market high on the Mossbergs and Remingtons, etc... I could be wrong though.

I was pretty much chomping at the bit to outfit an 870 with a collapsible stock and I set it up all "tactical" looking but it wasn't a couple months before I changed it back to stock configuration. It's funny after shooting an 870 and picking up a mossberg, it feels so light, kind of like a toy. Is that Churchill an alloy reciever or steel? I'm seeing alot the imports at my LGS, I imagine they are very attractive for folks on a budget or just looking for a beater truck gun....

I will also add, not sure what the market looks like in your area, but around here I'm seeing the Mav88's for around $200-$225 and just picked up a 590 for $250. If you keep an eye out you might be able to score an 88 for around $200. Not to knock the Churchill but the mav88 will probably hold up better and has no end to aftermarket supply.... even still, that Churchill will probably sling lead adequately and save you a few bucks too....

Hey thanks for the reply. The Churchill has a steel receiver. And yes i have been shooting mossbergs for years and it does make other cheaper shotguns feel like toys I agree. I must say though this shotgun is great! No problems. I think it’s good for home defense for people that are on a budget. Such a simple gun.

Prices here in Washington state are a little bit on the high end unfortunately. A maverick 88 for $200 is a steal! Honestly mavericks seem to be better quality.

You get a good cheek weld with that stock? Can you raise the comb?
I can’t unfortunately:( It’s a comfortable stock though

Have you fired a few shells at a moving target with it yet?

For moving targets you want to use you eyes as the sight. The shotgun is welded to your cheek and points where you look as you follow the moving target.

The stock the gun came with has a comb that is straight in line with the receiver and the barrel. This would give you a good cheek weld so your eyes and the barrel are pointed at the same thing.

The tatical stock you put on it has a severe drop/ downward angle. This will cause the shotgun to point very low.

I read Churchill and thought this….

I thought the very same thing and then I had a very cringe worthy moment...did I see the word "remodeled" in the title??? What could you possibly "remodel" on a 4 or 5 figure English shotgun?

Then thank goodness I saw that it was a Turkish pump shotgun and all was safe and fine again in my own little world.

I dig it. My 20ga 870 Exp. has been through a similar treatment. Knoxx Spec-ops stock, unknown black plastic forearm, and a mesa tactical 6 round side saddle. I originally chopped the barrel down but it pattered horrible. So i replaced it with a new remington 18.5" barrel. With the original barrel chopping, i painted all the metal with truck bed liner from far away, creating a sand like finish. I followed it with some flat OD green. Now with the new barrel, just the receiver and mag tube are still green. Ive also since added a 2 round mag extension.

Pretty sure the knoxx stock is discontinued, especially in 20ga. Finding shotgun accessories in 20ga is a PITA! But the knoxx stock is a quality product. The "buffer tube" is larger than mil spec so AR stocks dont fit it. Idk about commercial ones.

Also bought the 612 Churchill, actually a neat, well made gun! I’ve shot different types of shells thru it, slugs, buck and bird shot, no problems. But it kicks like a mule, especially with 3” slugs and 000 buck- the gun only weighs 5-6 lbs, so that’s to be expected. I’ve had a couple of 870’s before, and it functions just as well as the Remingtons. C0CC437B-53DB-45B7-87ED-961AFA18BA80.jpeg

It doesn’t really float my goat, but I don’t really like the look of pistol grips on shotguns. It’s good to have those Turkish 870 clones to play with though. It’s not like the originals are a work of art at that price point either.
