I'd like to hear feedback from owners of the Remington 700 LV SF (Light Varmint Stainless Fluted). I'm considering a .223 and/or a 7mm-08. I'm particularly interested in accuracy results, satisfaction with the factory pillar bedding, and any unanticipated issues. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have one in 221 Fireball. Took me awhile to get to shoot it though because the back of the action was .018 HIGHER than the front of the action which caused the scope bases to not be level. I had to get Burris signature rings and a pair of +.020/-.020 inserts to make things right.

Anyway, it is a fine shooter accuracy wise. I get nickle and quarter sized 5-shot groups at 100 yards with it. Others have reported better accuracy but I am happy with what I am getting.

From what I have read (do a search on LVSF) you will be very pleased with your rifle.

i've got two of 'em (7-08 and 22-250) and they are fantastic rifles. i've been thinking about picking one up in 221 and 17 in the near future, too.

if you want a 7-08, you probably better get after it. i believe remington isn't making any more in that configuration, though there are undoubtedly some still in the pipeline.
