Looking for some info on Super Redhawk 7 1/2"

Are certain production years better....are there different manufacturing processes for different years ex. CNC or manual machined.

When (if it was) was the plunger front sight discontinued

Are there different Hogue grips on factory supplied guns. Is this hogue identical to the GP hogue that "looks" identical.

I'm considering a 7 1/2" set up with same grip and sights as my GP to streamline the carry of different guns so they feel and point "like each other"

I have 2 7.5" SRHs - one in 44Mag (15 years old) and one in 454Casull (5 years old).
I cannot discern a difference between them. Both function well, perfectly.

I did replace the stock wood-inlaid grips on the 44 with Hogues. The 454 came with Hogues. Not sure if this is a "recent" change or due to the caliber.

Buy a new one - and move on. You should not be dissapointed.

From everything I know, the grip frame on the SRH is identical to that on the GP100. So the grips are interchangeable.

I don't know anything about differences in production years.
