In terms of handling, pointing, workmanship/finish and configuration qualities, Browning's son, Val, is the designer of one of the best automatic shotguns ever made, the Double Auto.

I recommend the book John Browning American Gunmaker. He invented everything from a .25 ACP vest pocket pistol to a 37mm aircraft cannon.
What I didn't know is that he invented about 40 firearms and made the prototypes. The patents on these firearms were sold to Winchester who never intended to put the guns into production, but didn't want the competition to get them.

Had to look that one up. It's a very interesting shotgun, for sure. Apparently it's designed to replicate the function of a double barrel or over/under with less weight. Sounds like a very fun gun to shoot.

My brother was just gifted one from an uncle. Early sixties. An FN 3" Mag, engraved. Another brother says it has a 30" barrel and weighs a ton. Really nice condition.

Came with a 1967(?) 30-06 pump, no specifics, with magazines. I'll, hopefully, be able to shoot in July when I'm back in Ohio.
